I got back from Crete, Greece last week and have a stinking cold. It happens every time I get back off my hols and I'm just feeling sorry for myself. I suppose the tan makes up for it though!!!

go to the solarium
wear warm clothes
drink more tea or coffee
after week or two you'll be better
enjoy your memories - they are worth of little uncomfortableness

Crete is a really neat place. Did you go to Saint Nicolas? That place with the small lake in the middle of the town square that Jacques Cousteau went to, because the townspeople were convinced was bottomless...so small a lake, yet over 700 feet deep. ....everytime I return home from the Philippines, I get a cold. Every time.

colds are caused from viruses not the weather. what does happen though is that your blood thickens and thins based on the body heat you need when you are in certain areas and while that is changing you are more susceptible to the many cold viruses that are flying about.
for example my ex husband was use to the warm coastal air of florida. when he moved back to vermont during the winter he became very sick because his body had to re- get use to the climate change.

a cold happen when the change in the temperature suddenly chages and that how most people react so it normal i get a bit of a cold when i come back from my hols hope your better soon!

Yep, everytime i come back from majorca i get a really bad cold - even in the summertime here!

not always, but you could have got it on the place air con, cos your down, change in temeprature, or just unlucky.
I had one while i was away :(
