Each state's constitution and laws specify their respective job descriptions which may vary by state. In general, a "District attorney" is the official charged with criminal prosecutions in local districts (usually counties) of a state. Sometimes they have additional duties, such as representing the state in certain classes of local civil matters. An "Attorney General" is the officially appointed and government paid attorney for the chief of state (King, President, Governor, etc.) and executive department of the state. The term "general" is not a rank, but a description of his duties which is to represent the government in every type of legal matter. That is why the plural is "attorneys general," and why they shouldn't be addressed as "General," even though everybody does it.

District Attorneys or DA is the prosecuting attorney for the state or commonwealth. Attorney General is who handles complaints for the state on general matters. If something is not right with a product you can fill out a form and the situation will be looked into.
In my opinion, DA is nasty work because of pressure and time limits for conviction...you may falsly accuse someone and because of guidelines have to follow through with the accusations.
I am not sure, but I think you have to be elected to the position.

he's a Bush appointee and is think to do his interest on the "excitement of the Pres - only like all different appointees). in spite of the shown fact that, if the Pres asks him to do some thing unlawful (not likely) he's think to tell him no. Technically I heard he's united statesa.'s suitable cop. honestly, there is one lawyer that could desire to have been fired, alongside with the 8 that have been fired. SUTTON could be IN penal complex, not Ramos and Compeon!!!
