Do you really think 'the people' elected this guy? If you answered yes, then you support his views, or at least realise that the majority of the country supports his views, or, consider the votes were rigged.
You have to be naive to say his thoughts/actions are his own. He's a puppet and nothing more, as were just about all presidents (not assassinated). There's a lot more going on people.
America stands for many things, and is represented by it's president as an image to the rest of the world.
I swear there should be IQ screening for the presidential position. Though, perhaps there is..
To properly answer this question there is a lot more that needs to be considered, if you refer in majority to recent events involving Americas actions, the simple answer is yes, they've made matters worse as a whole for currently occupied countries. That's not to say those who were sent did not try to do the right thing with what they were ordered to do.
One needs to research Iraqi politics and history to properly understand.
It's great how media and politicians can blow out of proportion isolated incidents as a need to act with military muscle flexing. What's worse is the population (majority) buying the hype.
But people are learning, questioning again (finally). Military recruitment is low for a reason...
Those that are trying to do the right thing I hope continue, as for the tyrannous I hope are discovered an soon.

No. Many times in the past, America was the solution for problems in the world. But lately, I am sorry to say, became part of the problem. The actual government doesn't have a clue about solutions and is bumbling about.

It would seem that way at times, but no, America isn't always the problem.
America had pretty much nothing to do with the events leading up to WW1 or WWII - but we certainly helped clean up the messes.
And we held off any real significant anti-terror action until they destroyed the World Trade Centers and killed 3000 Americans.
America's intentions are usually very noble.

Yes, in a lot of ways. We should go back to the moderate isolationism that this country had before WW2.

We are always there to bail out the whimps and stand up for freedom.
When they can't take care of themselves.
America is the Hero of the World.

Nope, just poor leadership.
We need to depose Bush and elect a leader who can at least tie his shoes…

I agree. Other countries should stop asking for our help. We should cut everyone else off.... no more food, medicine, exports, imports (which help countries make money). I say we let everyone else fend for themselves. Let's see how long they can do it for
