Funnily enough - The Howling has always had a strange effect on me! Otherwise, the Exorcist owing to the real life events on which it was based and the number of accidents and deaths that affected the crew during filming! Zombie films are rubbish - but some of the oldies are still good - the noises of the werewolf in the Oliver Reid version are scary in themselves!!!!

Japanese horror films are the scariest! You can catch them all the time on the Independent Film Channel (IFC)

The original 1960's version of The Haunting - the remake was total rubbish but after watching the original I would not go anywhere in the house without a light on.

Exorcist sucks! Iff you want really scary then try Japanese horror movies, the original Ring movie is the only movie I have ever seen that I have been unable to sleep after watching! Top movie, shame the US version sucked so bad in comparisson.

Without a doubt its the 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre' the bit where he runs out and grabs someone and the chase scene at the end, normally villains just walk and always seem to catch the victim this guy runs really fast - totally freaks me out!

It depends wether you like the psychological ones. 28 days later scared the be jesus out of me, I still cant think how I would survive if Rage was released in this country. Blair witch-extemely psychological ( you really have to imagine yourself there) White noise is jumpy if you believe in supernatural. May is a freaky witch one! Go to Blockbuster and talk to them in there they know which ones would scare you. If thats what you want
