Once again done by a bunch of a sorry team playing nobodys...but we looked pretty losing didn't we? Come all of you "Hip-Hop" playing ball players....tell my that my all Foreign team would never win an NBA Championship.....the "key" word here is "TEAM"....step up to the table and tell me that Greece was just lucky!!!....in the meantime step on to the court while we knock your soxs off!!!....an American all the way but just disgusted with the state of "Hip-Hop" in basketball......look good losing rather then look bad winning!!!

Do you know something?The Greek players were caring only for playing as better as they could and not for the victory.And that is why they won!
I can understand and something else about you:You are not a basketball fan, you are just someone who doesn't know to lose(accept losing is something that only a man with great soul can do).If you were an authentic basketball enthusiast you should knew that "the bunch of a sorry team playing nobodys" is the european champions since last year!And you should also know that Greece is a traditional force of european basketball since 1987 that we were Euro Champions for the first time.
Don't cry but feel proud about your team because it is a very good team(they just lose a game,this is something that can happen to anyone)

Well intelligently speaking, I don't understand how American Basketball could possible suck when it grosses so much money. Ummm, I'm not American but I know of the NBA...never heard of the Greece, Argentinian, Spanish or African league. I mean I'm sure they do exist but I doubt there is anyone watching. Let me try to break this thing down to you - for you to take a group of players from different teams that are accustomed to being superstars and try to make them into role players, you'll have problems. On their respective teams; they play a certain way, they are accustomed to seeing the ball a certain amount of times so for a coach to take two weeks and change all this, it's not that easy. Of course the rest of the world is catching up but would you watch an 82 game season with them? Only you could answer that question, I know there's no way in hell I would. And please don't knock their "soxs" off...please

I recall that Michael Jordan in an interview after the Barcelona Olympics estimated that it would take 20-25 years for teams and players from other countries to reach the caliber of those in the NBA - took about half as long.
In any sport, league supremacy is to a large extent a fallacy - look at how quickly the AFL teams became as good as those in the NFL. They are all playing the same game.
The underdog has everything to gain and the favorite everything to lose. Thus a team or person who can consistently beat those of lesser caliber should be properly recognized for that accomplishment.
Combine the above with the fact that the NBA players are used to the NBA style of play and officiating, and there can be alot of equalizers in an international competition.
Look around all the major league sports in the U.S., and you'll see a greater percentage of the best players are from foreign countries. They had more important things to deal with in the past, but now many basketball players in Lithuania for example are paid every bit as much as in the NBA - they make the effort and are just as good.

The International game is different than the US game... The international game more resembles what basketball is supposed to be... It rewards teams that can shoot an play defense rather than that all athletic and no skill playing of the NBA... Why is Ray Allen not on the US team? He's the best shooter in the NBA.
If the US really wanted to have a chance, we'd send the NCAA champ to the international tourneys... they'd have a better chance of winning against the international competition...

well I don't know if its hip-hop. I think its more, no defense, no real hard work. The media can tell you all kinds of stuff about how hard working they are BUT sorry don't buy it. Been a LONG time now since we've better then 3rd. Lets just be sure its called NBA championship not World. I wonder what the media will give as excuses now. Blame the rules? Blame that we were to young? Blame the coach again? Blame....blame blame excuse excuse excuse. Time to face it the press clippings are more important then the hard work.

May we also said that some countries around the world had caught up? Let's not forget about France if it had Tony Parker, plus Serbia is still in transition to a newer generation. Italy and Brazil are both very good teams as well. US team used to be the only best, but now everything had changed. The two time European Champion is proved to be the best for now....

Except that all the best foreign players come to the US to play. So as long as Dirk Nowitzki, Yao Ming, and the like are playing in the NBA, American basketball does not suck. Your all foreign team could win the NBA championship, but they would still be playing it in America.

Team USA has been suckking major azz in recent years we all know that ...right now our so called 'national team' its all about the Bling bling and glamour of that so called hip hop 'culture'..they don't play as a team and that is our biggest problem.......Men I miss the original 1992 Barcelona team ...THAT WAS THE TEAM

The truth: USA is not anymore the best country in the world in basketball. GREECE 101 USA 95, you lost, simply as that.
NCAA? Bah!! You play with NCAA in the Pan-American games and in the American (continent) Championship, and you know the result are not very good.
