You'll want to check this website 2 weeks before you leave for Florida: www.weather.com
Do a search for Orlando, Florida and see what the temperature is. Keep checking it up until the day you pack, so you'll know what to expect. Orlando can be cooler, but still warm in December... but it can also have record lows. In 2001, I worked on Christmas Day and froze. It was the coldest winter they had had in years and we even sold out of our sweatshirts and mittens.

So be prepared to bring both jeans/slacks and shorts, but be sure to check that weather.com website to make sure.

I live in Florida and you will probably want to wear pants. Take some shorts too. Weather in December is usually in the 60-70's. It's a beautiful time of the year. You need to be prepared for all kinds of weather. Have a great time....I might see you there!

If you are coming to Florida, then yes bring some shorts. It was 75 degrees on some days last December. The coldest month of the year here is Feb.
In December we have some warm days and some cold days. Just bring a little of everything.

And be prepared to have fun.

As a former Disney employee my advice is to watch the weather channel about 5 days before your vacation or check it out on the internet. That way you can get a heads up if there are any cold fronts coming through. We usually do not get to much before christmas but you never know. Also log onto wftv.com our local news station, they have the 5 day forcast on their website live.

If you are from a cooler climate like me, (I am from the northern US) shorts are perfect in Orlando in Dec. We even went to a mall and had our pictures taken sitting on Santa's lap while we were wearing shorts. (I know it seems weird, but it was quite a novelty for us)

Just take along a light jacket or sweater as once the sun goes down it might get a bit chilly

Take shorts it could and most likely be hot. We usually only get a few days of cold down here and they are usually after the new year..... Take shorts and your bathing suits! Enjoy!

yes. I went at beginning of January, and though it's a bit nippy forst thing in the morning , when the parks first open, we had shorts on and were fine. though the Americans did give us some funny looks, as they were all coated up, with gloves on !

we went in Dec. 05--it was great but saw very few people wearing shorts. Jeans and a t-shirt are perfect--Women should also pack a couple pair of Capris!

Yes, take them but take a jacket just in case. You may never use it, except at night. Our family swam in the outside pool one January. We love that place. Have fun!

One of the fashon statements here in Fla is a hoodie or a hooded sweatshirt and shorts.

The only other place I have seen it is in CA

You can bring them... Our winter is nothing compared to up north.
