The domain is just the name (www.yahoo.com for instance), and the hosting is the actual place you upload your website to. I use GoDaddy for domain and PageWaiter for hosting...they have very good prices.

Web hosting refers to the web space u needed for storing your website contents. Whereas Domain refers to the website name registered to u. Other user can use this domain name for listing ur website. These two are different things and u could purchase both from same company or with different companies.
My company is using the domain and web hosting services from www.website.in

The way you have a "name", websites have "Domain Name".
The way you need a "house" to live in, websites need "Web Hosting".
