For me,the 70s was the decade of the singer/songwriters such as John Denver,Don McLean and Carole King. They used their music to tell stories that touched us all.

I think it is too, because I was a teenager in that decade and I loved all kinds of music back then! Right now I am listening to a song called "Long Time" by Boston, it's awesome!

70's rock and roll is classic, amazing, and the inspiration for most of the bands around today (Zep, Ozzy, Kiss, Queen, etc.)
But the 70's also produced disco which is a black spot on American musical history for all time.
