I've seen 1/2 price line rentals for mobile phones at The Link and saw that at specific moments you need to send them your bills and a voucher. Does this really work and
1. What if your stuff gets ' lost' with them.
2. What if your address changes in the mean time.
3. Does anyone have good/bad experiences.

About sending your bills don't this conflict with privacy laws as they can see who you are calling?

Ok i work within mobile phones so let me explain how it all works:

The most important thing is to send off the front page of your bill and keep a copy. If by 28 days you dont hear anything then contact The Link and arrange to send it as a fax. As long as you have a copy you have 90 days to make a claim. You recieve a text letting you know they have got it.

If you address changes in the meantime then you have ot contact the company whom you are making the claim to immediatly and the details will be amended and that should be done with your phone retailer anyway.

We find no customer have probelms as long as its the right bill for your phone number, the address information is accurate ( call to make changes ), the payment can only be made by cheque to yourself and make sure you send the right airtime bill. It doesnt break privacy laws as you are sending the first page of your billwith your name, address and account number on it.

I hope this is of use to use, but i do say make sure you send it by recorded delivery.

If you need any other help email me

My last couple of contracts have been half price line rental and Ive had no problem receiving the money back. You only need to send the front page of your bill in, not all the bill with numbers and messages. Only thing you have to remember is to send the bill and voucher in, my sons girlfriend always forgets. This time she went with 3 mobiles and they knock the half price line rental off her bill, with no vouchers to send in
