I feel only a little safer at the airports nowadays. Mostly I feel frustrated that some terror twerps have caused so many horrors throughout the world. So I put up with the frustrations now as a daily fact of life.'

Well, not really, but even with terrorism factoring in, air travel is still safer than driving (except that the survival chance is almost null for plane crashes). Besides there haven't been any new successful attacks in 5 years now, so they must be doing something right.

If you want an answer to a question, instead of just validation of your assertion you can use the "Add Details" box to expand upon your ideas.
But security at airports is much better than it used to be. Too bad we ignored all the other air disasters to finally wake up to the problem.

Hardly. My first trip after 9/11 was in Dec '01 when security was still "really tight" and I had brought a drink in a glass bottle with me, at the security checkpoint they made me take a drink, but didn't make me leave behind my glass bottle. That never made sense to me.

Yes, we are safer.
But not safe.
Think of all these terrorist supporters and Bush Haters we have in our own contry.
The terrorists will get us again.
