Not very well if the appropriate temperature and humidity are not met and I can't see the airline giving you a break by letting you take your pet on as carry-on. Not to mention the mounds of paperwork involved in getting it here. Good Luck though.

Kind of rules out Amtrak doesn't it? You have to ship them in an approved container through the airline or via shipping freight. I'm guessing they travel pretty light, and only require some crickets to keep them well feed during the journey.
