Awhile back there was a book published (I forget if it was a cookbook or general history book) where they listed the menu of the last meal served in first class on the Titanic. I think there were even recipes to recreate that at home. Personally I was grossed out by the selections and I'm not a picky eater. But it was along the lines of foie gras, caviar, and other top of the line delicacies.
