I'm going to start working on my Master's next year while working full time too.
I went to a couple of colleges and it can be a good experience (or not) depending on the college. I first went to community college and liked that a lot, but when I transferred to a four year, I didn't like it, probably because the school was in the ghetto. The location of the school matters as it effects what kind of atmosphere the place has.
But provided you picked a pleasant campus, then my advice would be to join some clubs and maybe get involved in the student government.
