God is an ideal, not a materialistic thing. The overall idea of having a god, or greater power is at least as old as man has been thinking about the universe, which was probably once fire was found and the wheel was invented, because as efficiency goes up the more comfortable people get and then they start thinking, so in essence, since my good friend Ug said "Why is the world the way it is?"

God was there even before time.
Only after the creation of time only we started counting the age.
So God is as old as time -because age is meaningfull only when there is time. Well, you may argue that God is older than Time as he existed before the creation of time. But the word before has any meaning only when Time is there.
Now you may ask, how old is Time????
But interestingly, Time is also relative (Theory of relativity )
So the age of time depends on the frame of reference.
But I am sure God has a finite age ( and not infinite)
