What is the exact opposite color of red?

if the opposite color of white is black... then what is red..... don't think it's blue..... or yellow....

i don't believe in the color wheel

well i would have to say - - - - blue cause they my fave colours. blue and red yep!!!! there the colours of evil one is attractive and the other depressing!!!! u figure which is which!!

There is no opposite of colors in the sense you want to think.
But if you look at a color wheel, you pick a color, and draw an invisible line to the opposite side of the wheel from that point, and the color you reach is the best matched and compatible color with the color you picked.
Oh so in this case, there is -roughly- green on the opposite side of red.

Also black and white might be considered opposites because they do the exact opposite things when it comes to light. Black is the absorber and white is the reflect-er.

Red is 1 of only 3 primary colors. If you put all three on a color wheel it would be opposite of "between blue & yellow" the other 2 primary colors. Since yellow & blue make green, I would say the opposite of red is green.

There is not really an oposite colour considering that there are three primary colours... to find an oposite coulour to red you would have to find a combination that would result in an extreme white or black... which is impossible. Now if you are refering to heat and cold opposition I would say that blue would be the opossite.

green. as a rule of thumb, any color you would use to mix with another to make black is that color's opposite. has nothing to do with the color wheel.
