Yes and Yes. I actually have a theory as to why it's not accepted by the majority of people. I'm led to believe that early Christianity excepted it as fact, then it was banished by the Church leaders of the time in the 6th Century. Had it not been banished I think it would be accepted now by billions not millions, as the church has had a lot of influence on Western thought. The concept of heaven and hell was more favourable though to adhere conformity to the religion, it's only in recent times with 'technological advancements' that more and more people see no place for a God and so do not have any spiritual insights. However reincarnation would explain a lot of things like childhood geniuses, they simply remember their inclinations of a past life?

I believe in reincarnation but not in past lives.
I believe our souls are something akin to water. When we are made our bodies are a cup and enough 'water' is poured into us. the 'water' immediately takes on some of the 'flavor' of the parents whom the cup comes from (hereditary traits). As we go through our lives our experiences flavor/color the 'water' into a unique soul.
When we die and live this incarnation, our souls are 'poured' back into the collective consciousness. As anyone who has played with water will tell you, when you pour colored water into a font of regular water, the colored water will spread out but not in a uniform manner. As another souls is about to be poured some of the 'water' from the collective consciousness is gathered and poured into the new cup. There is bound to be some of the 'color' from a previous life but it isn't the same water as before (This explains times when you might be interested in a period in the past or a place may seem familiar to you but you know you have never been there before.)
Besides Nature loves to recycle, why not do it with us.
Blessed Be )O(

Sweetie its reincarnation. I used to NOT believe in it until 3 people who do not know each other in a span of 5-6 years told me I used to live in India and was a healer during the 1800s there. They all described similar things about my "past" life that really made me feel weird because they all said the same thing and they don't even know each other.

No. You live once, then comes the judgement. If you are loyal to God, you get Eternal Life. If not, you get The Second Death.
God's standard is perfection. If you slip up in only 1 life, no amount of perfect lives could make up for it, you would still be imperfect. Mind you 1 Perfect Life makes it Samsara Time for everyone (if they so choose)

Not in coming back as another actual person,,,
i believe that parts of what we have left behind comes out in the next generation,,, maybe thats some form of reincarnation....
but Im afraid once we're dead..thats us ..puff..no more.
So make the best of a bad job whilst your here, coz you won't get another go at it...sorry not to be more cheerful..but thats life....

I'm with Stephen on this one. However, I do also believe in enlightenment. Once you have collected as much info as possible from your previous lives and have learnt to gain access to it from your higher self. That to me, is enlightenment.
If you can reach that then your consciousness will become an immortal entity that is separate but in harmony with the collective consciousness. I believe that Jesus did this. As did Moses, Mohamed, Buddha and more recently Gandhi have done.

Yes I do, though what type of person I was in another time or period I just don't know, guess I'd have to be regressed to find out.

No, it doesnt make sense. There are WAY more people on the earth today than there were 100 years ago. How does reincarnation account for that fact?
