We went to high school together and are from the same neighborhood. I used to sneak across the classroom to cheat off his paper in Algebra II, god, I couldn't understand that math for nothin! After highschool we really didn't see much of each other until we both started a job at the same place. Then we started riding to work and home together, eating lunch and taking breaks together and hanging out with other coworkers together. Two of the other coworkers told me that my now husband had a crush on me. They were just trying to be funny because of how shy he is, they told him that he could never pull me because I think I'm too much for anybody. They were just joking with me to see what I'd say and I actually took it seriously. So when I saw him again on the next break, I told him what they said and he acted all shy. We laid down some rules, had sex and have never been apart since. We just had our first child on August 12th and our 1 year wedding anniversary will be on the 16th of this month.

I was living in Norfolk, Virginia and it was Halloween night, and my roommate and I were getting ready to go out to a club when I got a phone call from a friend of mine that was in the Navy and his ship had pulled in that day, earlier then expected, and he said he wanted to stop by with a friend to say hi. They came over, and my back was turned when they walked up the steps to my apartment, and the moment I tuned around, I saw him and knew I was going to marry him. I can't describe it, I just know that I literally felt as if I was going to fall, because my leg's went weak. There was something about him, and I just knew I was going to spend the rest of my life with him. As a matter of fact, that night I told him, maybe half serious, that I was going to marry him! Anyway, that was October 31 of 1997, and we were married in January of 1998, two months later! We are still very happy and have four beautiful children together. I'm so glad my friend call me that night.....If not for him, I never would have met the love of my life!

I was back at college doing another course. It was the Christmas ball and one of the girls from the college that I knew brought a couple of old school friends. We got chatting, had a few dances, and the rest is history. We will have known each other 26 years in December and celebrate our 22nd wedding anniversary in October.

He sat down next to me on the first day of High School in 1991, he was about a head and a half taller than all the other children and we could not figure out if he failed a few grades or if he was an early bloomer. He was different, strange and shy and I LOVED that. (I was kind of the "rebel" of my year). I started talking to him in class, he was always seated in front of me, (his surname started with a "C" and mine with a "D") we talked about movies, music, motorcycles and cars... and just hit it off. I can honestly say I found understanding and safety at the age of 12 , from a awkward, neon wearing geek... whom I still adore today. He asked me out to a movie (he did not even attempt to hold my hand or anything!) and when his mom dropped me off at my house afterwards he walked to the door with me, asked me out - on his knees, adding "please, please, please"... :o) My step dad opened the door at that stage trying to look intimidating, but he was about a head shorter than my now husband, so the plot failed miserably. I just said "yes" and ran into the house....
About 4 days later our first kiss lasted one hour...

He is still my only true friend and I can trust him completely.
