Like others have said, there is no "exact" age at which you get hot flashes, and not everyone gets them. Many have stated that between 45-55 is the normal age range for menopause, but in fact, hot flashes can occur MUCH earlier than the actual onset of menopause (absence of a period).

Hot flashes can occur during the perimenopausal phase (from 2-8 years before the onset of true menopause) and can start in your 30's (or even earlier) when your hormones first start to fluctuate.

If you're having symptoms, you need to talk to your doctor, because menopause is not the only thing that can cause hot flashes. There are many other conditions/diseases that can cause hot flashes and if you're having them...you need to get checked out to find the cause.

The exact age that you will get hot flashed is the exact age you are at when hormones go off kilter. Different for each woman.
I had a total hysterectomy when I was 29 and nothing but premarin keeps hot flashes and night sweats and nervousness under control.

The exact age is when your females hormones start to change, which can be from 20-60! Women who have hysterectomies have hot flashes no matter what their age. It's all due to lack of estrogen or change is amounts.....the only thing that saved me was Estroven, sold in drugstores. A hormone replacement without side effects. Great stuff. Good Luck!

Hot flushes (as we call them in the UK) are generally happen in women and are generally caused by fluctuations in hormones.

If you're talking about hot flushes during the menopause, then this happens when a woman goes through the menopause, and this can start at any age (even to young women), but is more likely to happen from the age of 50.

However medical conditions or illnesses can cause hot flushes in men or women of any age.

I hope this helps!

There is no exact age, it is different for everyone, and some women don't get them at all...they can also be brought on by different types of medical problems.
