No the sky is not blue... It is black. It looks blue due to refraction.

Out of the visible spectrum of light violet ,indigo and blue have the highest frequencies. So they get refracted from the sun's light the most .The rest of the colors(green ,yellow orange, red) escape. These refracted bluish colors reaches the earth surface (and our eyes) and hence the sky looks blue....

No the sky is not blue. It appears to be because of something called Rayleigh Scattering. When light is moving through the atmosphere, the longer waves pass through. The shorter ones are absorbed through the gas molecules. The blue light that is absorbed is then spread across the sky which makes the sky appear blue to us.

Rayleigh scattering (named after Lord Rayleigh) is the scattering of light, or other electromagnetic radiation, by particles much smaller than the wavelength of the light. It occurs when light travels in transparent solids and liquids, but is most prominently seen in gases. Rayleigh scattering of sunlight by the atmosphere is the main reason light from the sky is blue

No It is not blue.
It appears blue during day because of refraction of sun light. During night in the absence of sun it will be black. Moons light is not enough to create the blue appearance.

No. What you're seeing is a reflection caused by the sun's rays, all the layers of atmosphere, and earth combined.
