Yes, I had the King of all Treehouses.
It was a piece of plywood nailed between two branches, with a rope hanging down that you could climb up.
Oh, the memories.

Yes. I've built four of them from the age of 10 to 16 y/o. They were a lot of fun to build and a lot of fun to take girls to and have bonfire parties at. Two of them were way out in the woods and two of them were in the backyard. The last one I had built (with the help of a few friends) was using four trees.
The first floor was 30 feet off the ground. The second floor (or roof) was 10 feet above that. Half of the first floor was walled in with an equal sized "porch". The second floor had railings.
I had to take two of them apart, one got bulldozed when a subdivision was built and the last one was blown apart in a tornado.

No, but us kids built a (garage ceiling house)! Up in the ceiling of the old garage was wooden rafters, so we added some wood, laid down some used carpet, added a home built ladder, and we had a wonderful place to play! We even slept up there!

Never had one - always wanted one. So I made sure my daughter had one - a real old fashioned hand built wooden tree house. Guess what? She used it about 3 times in her whole life (she's 12 now!) Go figure that.

Yes, had a perfect tree, built it myself with some help from my big brother, it was big and had a roof. also a tire swing , I remember walking alleys and dragging home boards I found to nail up in my tree house. Spent many hours of my child hood there.

Also always wanted one. I had a cool swing set, though. And a huge sandbox that my dad made. And a playroom in the basement besides my room... Wow, I miss childhood.
