Well, I have an interesting one:
bring some HCl (Hydrochloric Acid) , maybe 100 ml
bring some sodium, about 50 grams
mix them in a beaker, but remember, put the HCl, then drop the sodium
Expect some salt to be produced, and Hydrogen gas to evolve, to make sure there is Hydrogen, light a match over the beaker during the reaction. you can taste the salt later
Warning: this is a vigrous reaction, I suggest that when it starts, every body to GET DOWN, and be wearing protective glasses and maybe helmets, because the last time I made this reaction a part of the ceiling fell next to me!
Another one, even more interesting!:
bring some baking pouder and get a lemon and squeeze some of its juice on the pouder, expect the formation of a great fragrance, that I can't remeber it's formula right now, but it is really GOOOOOD!
Warning: take more caution even than the last experiement because this time the effect of the experiment will take longer time to go away, MUCH LONGER!
Well, I hope you liked it..........TRY IT!

It is difficult to tell a project to some one who does'nt specified his acedamic background. ie I dont know how well you studied chemistry. Taking into ground that you have only a average basement in chemistry (pls excuse me) I introduce you to a project that you can coduct (if you think so).
topic - atomic structure
The development of the structure took place only in the 19th century. This development came in line with the development of theory of light which already became full fledged by the starting of 19th century. Now just explain the development of quantum mechanical model of atom from the plum pudding model put forth by J.J. Thompson. While listing the developments you just list it in the cronological order with collection of posters of the sceintists whom you mention. this will make your project beautiful.
Hope you have got a good topic.

If you are interested in real science as opposed to gee wiz show and tell, then go to the web site for a university near you and look at the research interests of the faculty. Find an interesting line of research and talk with the professor. If you are keen and talented he/she might involve you in a research project as a research assistant.

Hi you can observe the action Zn,Fe,Cu,Al metals on these salt solutions Znso4,Feso4,Cuso4,Al2(SO4).Firstly take 4 test tubes 'n' mark them as A,B,C,D then pour about 25ml of aqueoous sol of ZnSO4 in test tube A;Feso4 in test tube B;CuSO4 in test tube C 'N' Al2(SO4)3 in test tube D.Now clean the metal strips with sand paper. After this dip pure aluminium strips in all the test tubes for about half an hour.Observe the deposition of metal on the strip.Repeat the exp.with different metals. You will conclude that aluminium metal is more reactive metal which can displace other salt solutions, where as copper is least reactive metal which displaces no metal.

You did not point out the factor of the test. One phosphate test that provides a sturdy/undesirable consequence is : acquire some organic water. From a flow or lake or a pond. upload phosphate fertilizer to it. you're able to see a heavy algae bloom. in case you could, verify the oxygen content fabric in the previous you upload the fertilizer.
