1.
x = 0 and x = 2

2.
x = 5/2 and x = -2/3

Now what are you going to do when your teacher asks you to find the roots of (3x-5)(x+2)(x-9) = 0 ? Since you pretty obviously don't have a clue what a root *is*, you is gonna be in a world of sh*t.

1) 2x(x-2)=0
2x=o , x-2=o
x=0/2., x=0+2
x=0 , x=2

2) (2x-5) (3x+2)=0
2x-5=0 , 3x+2=0
2x=5 , 3x= -2
x= 5/2 , x= -2/3

1. 2x (x-2)=0

For the term 2x (x-2) to be zero, either (2x)=0 or (x-2)=0

Therefore the roots are

(2x)=0 or (x-2)=0

x = 0 or x = 2

2. (2x-5) (3x+2)=0

Similarly,

(2x-5)=0 or (3x+2)=0

x = 5/2 or x = -2/3
