You know how when you stop at a light or stop sign, after you stop the rear of the car squats a little bit, just as it does when you hit the gas from a dead stop. Well during this 'squat' I get a 'bad-wheel-bearing-ish' sound, both when I stop and when I go again. It only makes this sound after repeated stops. I can recreate the sound by holding the brake and applying a small amount of gas. It sounds like a slight pop and you can almost feel it more than you can hear it.

The sound is coming from the front right of the car, which was involved in an accident but repaired by an Audi dealership. The day after I got the car back I had to return it for a similar problem to be fixed. They removed and reinstalled the suspension components and everything was fine.

It sounds like a bad suspension piece. Did they replace all the control arms up front? Have them look at the bushing on all the control arms, its not unusual on that car for the control arms to wear out.

A sticking calliper is at fault and helped by the use of copper slip, you can also try some brake cleaner in aerosol form sprayed through the wheel

You know what's weird? I get the same thing in my Grand Am.....I had it checked out and the mechanic couldn't find anything wrong. Maybe a caliper is sticking or brake shoe?
