If ya like suspense then why dont you actually read THE DA VINCI CODE ? In an interview you just dont have to mention the mere name but actually you have to prove yr point and explain as to WHY you like it.To be in a best position to answer this, quote a novel you have actually read, best to play safe , what if yr interviewer has already read tha same book and goes into its intricacies??!! Then, my friend, you will be left groping in the dark.
You can also quote KANE AND ABEL ,that ones got lots of substance too.

Well, as you listed this on Higher Education why don't I just name a few suspenseful and comic books that have a literary and thus scolarly interest as all things that are scholarly give us an expression of what life is and how best to interact in it.

1. Thomas Hardy's Jude the Obscure--Thomas Hardy structures his novels so that it seems that a being falls into a cul de sac and that cul de sac consists of the peope who meet as well as his own inate yearnings. Why can't a man realize his own intellectual aspirations? What brings him down

2. Thomas Hardy's Tess of the Durvervilles--Do the masocistic gods actually develop a human's fate and with perfect vile circumstances bring him or her to cataclysm? It would see so with Tess who runs away from police to become the prime sacrifice at Stonehedge

3. Voltaire's Candide--Is life the best of possibilities as some French philosophers thought it in Voltaire's day or is it a place of savagery. This is one of the funniest books in world literature
