they provide economics for undergraduate courses but not business - in their separate business colleges the also don't teach business - why!!

Economics is the basis for business and I think Oxford and Cambridge are classic universities that stick to more traditional program definitions. Business is not really a specific discipline, but draws on several others. Graduates with economics degrees from either of these universities will find jobs in business.

maybe becoz economics and business are connected to each other. you know. maybe they want students to study the whole aspects about economics so that they dont merely focus just on business. coz economics is about business too, but not just business. it'll give the students a broad view about the market.
