A Hindu is a native of India, particularly N. India, and follows the Hinduism religion. How cares that another human being says they are the "lowest-caste"? In God's eyes we are all equal. Don't look to mankind to label a race, he does not reserve that right. Ask Mother Teresa! She would know.

Hindu actually means- People of a race named Hind.. that is where we Indians are called Hindustanis or people who live in India.
Hinduism is the religion of Hindustanis(Indians) and more over it has several castes in it. We consider the lowest or Shudra caste for foreigners(anyone even Americans). So let this Oxford RIP.

Hinduism is a religion and not caste.
If oxford states it as a "lowest caste" they are sitting duck for some religious fanatics to put a case against them.

This is wrong becoz all castes r same & there is no difference between them . So we never say that the meaning of hindu is low-caste.

If what you are saying is true that is ignorance. As some one pointed out earliest it is a religion. Caste is a sub sect of religion.
It is one of the two original religions of mankind. The other being Judaism.
