I have a 5 month old baby too and she often gets eyelashes in her eyes. She does not seem to even notice them. As hard as it is, I just keep an eye on her (no pun intended) and it always clears out on its own. If I notice one on her cheek I use a clean damp washcloth to remove it. Eyes are so delicate and sensitive, touching them with anything could be introducing bacteria or injure the eye. If you are really concerned with this, I would suggest asking your pediatrician or nurse. They may suggest an infant safe eyedrop, however if your baby is anything like mine, they won't hold still for it anyway!

don't do anything. a foreign object in the eyes will cause it to secrete a fluid and eventually will bring the eyelash to the side of the eye where you can easily tissue it off.

or either you lick it or use an eye wash like Eye-MO. put the baby on his side and wash the eye by dropping several drops of Eye-Mo.

Hold the eye open and blow in to it quick and sharp but not to hard. If it doesnt get it out it will make your baby blink and eventually it will go into the corner of the eye where you can get it with a wet finger tip.

Hold baby firmly and open babies eye with your two fingers and use a tissue. The eye lash will stick to the tissue quickly. I had to do this more than once so I know it works.

Use a Qtip. Just barely touch to the offending eyelash. It should stick to it and remove easily.

babies don't tend to have many reactions to things going into their eyes. Try flushinng it out with water, what ever you do do not try to pick it out with your fingers or rub their eyes it might make it worse or even still because they are still growing it may effect babys eyesight.

particular, I had this identical adventure while my daughter substitute into in user-friendly terms some months outdated herself. i did not desire to attempt to do away with the eyelash in the commencing up via fact i substitute into in touch i could make issues worse yet, via fact she substitute into getting greater and greater annoyed by making use of the minute, i could not face as much as a minimum of doing "some thing" to help her out. needless to say, one would not desire to harm to their baby (nicely, a minimum of I ought to desire not, besides) so of course you have to be comfortable with despite this is you do. As for what I did for my area, I laid my daughter down on her lower back and became her head off to the realm so as that her cheek (the only "opposite" of the afftected eye area) substitute into resting particularly "flat" against the floor. Then, I took a particularly damp (not dripping moist) washcloth and lightly rubbed it against her affected eye "lid" (ie: her eye substitute into closed), commencing from the outer area of her eyelid and dealing my way in in the direction of her nostril. Repeat this step (rubbing the fabric from exterior in) various circumstances and, with good fortune, it might help pass the lash from the place this is on the instant placed and, optimistically, into the indoors nook of your childs eye the place this is going to be lots much less confusing to handle. as quickly as you be able to get the stray lash into the indoors nook of your childs eye you may the two leave it by myself (it is going to probable works its way out with the eyes organic moistures) or, in case you like, you may try making use of the nook of the fabric to gently rub it out. the two way, be certain you be as comfortable as you probable can, infants eyes' are very smooth. good good fortune!
