I dont think so. It may be a form of flattery but the purest flattery would be a bit more blatent.

I think it probably is - when someone wants to be like you, you are their "idol" - more flattering than anything words could say.
In contrast, I also think
Imitation is the most ANNOYING form of flattery. My little sister sometimes imitates me, then she goes back to my mum's house, and the next day I get "Why do you teach her these things? She's acting just like you!"
