I am going to predict your future tell me if I am accurate?
You have a need for other people to like and admire you, and yet you tend to be critical of yourself. While you have some personality weaknesses you are generally able to compensate for them. You have considerable unused capacity that you have not turned to your advantage. At times you have serious doubts whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing.
Was I Close?? How about this?
Some of your aspirations tend to be pretty unrealistic. At times you are extroverted, affable, sociable, while at other times you are introverted, wary and reserved. You have found it unwise to be too frank in revealing yourself to others. You pride yourself on being an independent thinker and do not accept others' opinions without satisfactory proof. You prefer a certain amount of change and variety, and become dissatisfied when hemmed in by restrictions and limitations. At times you have serious doubts as to whether you have made the right decision or done the right thing. Disciplined and controlled on the outside, you tend to be worrisome and insecure on the inside.
Your sexual adjustment has presented some problems for you. While you have some personality weaknesses, you are generally able to compensate for them. You have a great deal of unused capacity which you have not turned to your advantage. You have a tendency to be critical of yourself. You have a strong need for other people to like you and for them to admire you.
Was that Closer??
If these statements sound like they came from a newsstand astrology book, that may be because they did. Such statements are sometimes called Barnum statements or cold reading and they are an effective element in the repertoire of anyone doing readings: astrologers, palm readers, psychics, rumpologists and so on.
If the statements appear on a personality inventory that one believes has been especially prepared for you alone, one often validates the accuracy of such statements and thereby gives validity to the instrument used to arrive at them. If Barnum statements are validated when they have originated during a psychic reading, the validation is taken as also validating the psychic powers of the medium.
"Barnum effect" is an expression that seems to have originated with psychologist Paul Meehl, in deference to circus man P. T. Barnum's reputation as a master psychological manipulator who is said to have claimed "we have something for everybody."

First as others have already told you, you don't 'play' tarot. Although it is a deck it isn't a card game. It is a form of divination.
If you have a tarot deck hopefully it came with a booklet to give you basic instructions of them. If not you want to pick up a book of them. There is so many different nuances to the tarot that just cannot be explained in a short format as this venue allows.
Basically the tarot has many different ways of doing a 'spread' depending on how in depth you want an answer to a question and what kind of question you are asking. Each card has its own way of being interpreted and sometimes it is more of interpreting it based off what you feel the meaning of the card is instead of a textbook answer for each. If you are really interested in them go to your local book store or library and get a book and then spend some time studying them.
Good luck in your endeavor.
Blessed Be

Tarot cards may have started out with what we have as a standard playing card deck. There was a game that begins with T that used cards similar to tarot cards in the past. And some people say they can use the standard playing card deck to predict the future. But with the addition of extra cards and pictures they have become a means of trying to see what might be in your future if you keep following the path your on.
To make them just playing cards you would need to remove some of the cards and try to convert the suites into the standard clubs, diamons, spades, harts. But that would be a waste of money as tarot cards are more expensive than a deak of regular playing cards.
There are several types of spreads that you can use to answer different types of questions. The most common spread is the Celtic Cross spread.A spread being a type of pattern and number of cards used in the patteren.
Yes I do up to a point . like any divination methoid it only gives possibilites not the exact as you have free will to change your mind and nullify the reading given at the time.I use a cd-rom version for duing my own readings as that elemenates the possible interferance of other people handling the cards and leaving a psyic resadue on the physical cards. all the standard tarot cards out today will have a booklet with standard meanings for each card . being able to interpet the whole meaning of the spread is the hard part. you can also just use the pictures to tell a meaning to each card in the spread.
blessed be

Hello, I have had tarots for many years and recently pulled one card for a few over the internet and then shared with what I saw within them....
They seemed to speak some truth even over the internet. I just shared and llow others to see if they can see truth in what I say
A thoughtless person of youth can often drift through life undisciplined, and without any real direction in life, more concerned with the trivia of life rather than with its substance.
The extravagance of the thoughtless fool lacks discipline and is immature can be insecure creating naivety.
Love an' Peace to you
Look deeper, and you will see. Discover others emotions by putting your feet into their shoes and the clear path ahead is created when can reflect and see our negative traits, others positive sides.
The fool requires deep soul searching to convert the foolishness into wisdom

The way I tend to explain utilizing tarot is; not nessasarily to pridict the future it is to either confront you with information that has already been there and bypassed, information you have a hard time accepting, and/or the non physical enviroment you may be in in the future. most of all the information is "what you need to know to choose witch of the multipul paths in your curent life you are able to progress along.

I don't play tarot and I don't believe it to predict my future. What I believed every person's future lies in every person's hands and choices.

They sell kits at book stores and places like newbury comics. The kits come with a book on the meaning of each card. Each card has 2 meanings because if it is up side down it means something different. I beleive them bet they dont really give you a detailed vision of the future. They are very vague.
