Cockney rhyming slang, the man is so wet I put my wellies on every time he comes on the radio.

Definately the cockney rhyming slang!

I cannot stand him - why is he so popular??

Anyone can write a pop by numbers song like him with random words that rhyme. Hardly a lyrical genius - proved by the fact that he contradicts himself in all his lyrics all the time!

I can't take the credit for this but its good:

'I am influenced mostly by James Blunt. He is my world

sometimes I like to remind myself how watered down and unoriginal other music sounds in comparison. On those occasions I like to listen to: Radiohead, Plaid, Boards of Canada, Moloko, Royksopp, Led Zepplin, The Mars Volta, The Bluetones, Span, Spin Doctors, Biffy Clyro, Pink Floyd'

i cant believe all the negative comments i have just read i think James Blunt is amazing, i dont particularly care for him but i love his album every song on it, could listen to it over and over and never get bored. The man has a fantastic voice and i love the fact that he sings about his true experiences.

I'm sorry, I know its a horrible thing to say about someone you don't even know, but I can't stand him!! He looks like a big girls blouse and his lyrics are bland and inane. I still haven't figured out though why he provokes quite such a strong reaction in me that when I see him on TV or hear him on the radio I have to swear loudly and turn it off.
