I was about to get married a year ago but i called the wedding off about three months before. i had already bought a stunning wedding dress and now i dont know what to do with it. I tried to sell it off but no luck! and this gets better... i'm going out with someone else and he has also asked me to marry him. do i buy a new wedding dress or wear the one i already have??

Get drunk with a few of your girlfriends, take the dress into the garden pour lighter fluid over it and burn it. Make a fun occasion of the fact that you're moving on with your life.
Additionally if you have grumpy neighbours, you may want to strip naked and dance around it screaming random satanic sounding words and phrases ("burn diablo burn", "risssse queen of the night", "take me to the fiery depths of your love" etc etc etc)...this should suitably stop them talking to you for a few years and give the old codger at number 43 a heart attack.

Seriously though - wear a new one. Sell it, burn it, bin it, don't wear it...give your new man the personal touch that he deserves. Everyone thinks that the wedding dress is just for the bride, but its not, I'll never forget how beautiful my wife looked when she was walking down the aisle.

I would get a new weddig dress but that is my opinion. Talk to your fiance about how he would feel about you wearing a dress meant for another wedding. If he is fine with it then you already have your dress picked out. There is the possibility that if you wore it and didn't tell him the history, that someone in your family could tell which might present a problem for him and you. Have you tried selling your wedding dress on Yahoo Auctions or E-bay? It will get much more exposure there.

If I was you I would just wear the one you have already brought because you sound like you really like the dress and you havent worn it to any other weddings have you lol, hope you have a fantastic wedding good luck for the future x x

NEVER wear a wedding dress that you bought intending to marry another man. BAD LUCK!!!! I'm not quite sure what you can do with it. Maybe try selling it through a consignment store (where they sell clothes for you). Whatever you do with it is your choice, but DO NOT WEAR IT to your wedding with another guy!!!

If you truly love this dress wear it You didn't buy the dress because of the man you were to marry you bought it because of the way you looked in it- If you would have been married in it already I would say no but for you now GO FOR IT

Thats a very difficult one! I mean, the dress obviously makes you fell like a godess but it probably has the shadows of your previous relationship stamped on it. Ask your man and see what he thinks. If in doubt- but a new, even more stunning dress- after all it is your special day! :-D Good luck with married life *hugs*

If you really like the dress, then wear that one... if you would rather have a new one then get a new one and either sell it at a cheaper asking price or donate your old one to a non profit... what ever you do, when and if you get married I hope you have the best time of your life... And live it to the fullest....

It is just me, but I think I could not wear the dress I would have bought for the first wedding. It would not feel right to me. Different story, different time, different me.
But do as you feel really. If you do not mind, then go ahead and wear it (it will be cheaper!).
Also think about your future husband. Are you sure he would not mind you wearing this dress?

Wear the one you have if you still like it. It's supposed to be your dream wedding dress so you would of picked it out if you had met the new guy first. It has nothing to do with whom your marrying right.

Buy a new one to get married in, then dye the old one so you can wear it to your evening reception!
Win, win situation. You don't feel bad for not using the old one and you get a very fabulous new dress, to start the beginning of your very fabulous new life. x
Just do whatever feels right. x
