thye should nto be punished no.... their sexuality is their own desicion. and if they are uncomfortable promoting something that is against their religion/beliefs.. or just something that they simply don't agree with in any way. then they should be allowed to their opinion. and therefore be allowed to make their own desicion weather or not to participate!!!!!

They should not have been punished. The fire service does not hand out leaflets at republican or orange marches and they are much larger events. They do have a right to taking a personal moral stance on any issue and this was denied them by the idiot in the Fire Service (it was they who approached the organisers of the march). To expect these men to place themselves in a situation where they may be open to embarrassment and sexual harassment is wrong.

What about freedom of choice ? will the Politically Correct Lunatics demand that the Firemen become GAY before being allowed to go on duty at this event ? I think the Firemen should turn their Hoses on the Politically Correct Brigade involved in this matter, preferably at F U L L Force and not be to carefull with their aim

First of all they are fire FIGHTERS not firemen becaue even their job has been emasculated by the PC brigade.

Many firefighters are homosexual perverts too, of course. BUT in the UK I do not think we should discriminate like this. So yes they should be punished. But not too severely. Maybe make them buy their own tea and sugar for a week or something like that.

Had they been required to hand out these same leaflets at any other kind of parade?

I doubt if giving out leaflets is part of their job.If they don't want to do it-why should they
I am sure that the Post Office would be quite happy to distribute the leaflets.

Why? They're not doing anything wrong. I mean its not in their job description to be leaflet goffers as well as putting fires out and rescuing cats from trees. They should tell whoever to stick the leaflets up their assses!

I have never had a problem with gays. And this goes for all
people with causes. How do they expect to gain support for their causes, by making enemies? How will someone be left in peace,
when he keeps throwing himself up in anothers face? Equality
comes from MUTUAL respect.
