The SAT has been changed for scoring. It no longer is based upon 2 sections, it is now 3 sections in which you can accumulate 200-800 points for each section. This means that the new top score is 2400. To answer your question, only the scoring system has changed with some mild modifications to the exam style itself. Study according to the content in the books for the exam and do so until you feel comfortable with the material. Just simply chatting off a time-per-day would not be beneficial. Good Luck.

I want to clarify that studying long hours doesn't matters,it's concentration which really matters.Some tips:-Wake up in the early morning & start studying which will give a good start. Take small breaks in between which will help you to keep refreshing yourself. Have a balanced diet as it is said that Health is Wealth.Think you will succeed in your exams & come out with flying colours so,"All the Best!"

Number of hours and days does not matter. How you absord what you study is the key. I know some kids who read study materials like it was a comic books. They read it once and throw it away, never to see it again.

That depends on how well you do on practice tests. The difference between those practice results and your desired score will determine how much you should study.

A perfect score on the SAT is 1600 so its pointless to try for 2300.

2300? ummm... are you sure you are talking about the right test.
You can't study long enough. There are no bonus points. Sorry.
