the video to the song has the components you find in the back of teles and stereos and is set like a wild west song. its about 5-6 years old and was a top tune. it sounds slitly like the tune of futurama

Might be completely off target but could it have been ' Money for nothing' by ' Dire Straits'?
Only thing is that this was released earlier than 5 or 6 years ago. If I'm not mistaken, the video was quite like you discribed though.
