All rechargeable batteries have a fixed lifetime.

At the end of that stated lifetime, it will take longer to recharge and it will run down quicker.

300 times is about average, some go up to 500, some are only around 200.

There is nothing you can do to change it, and the manufacturer wasn't legally obliged to state this on the website, as it is considered common knowledge that rechargeable batteries don't last forever.

A rechargeable battery won't last forever. It has a lifespan. In your case, they are saying about 300 recharges, however, this is only an approximation. The main tip for keeping rechargeables going as long as possible is to make sure they are completely run down before recharging, and to make sure that you keep charging them until they are full again.

Rechargeable batteries begin to lose some of their charging capacity after a number of recharge cycles. Mostly due to chemical reactions that create waste buildup within the battery.

In the real world... It probably means the batteries will piss you off by not lasting long enough on a charge after about 200 charges... LOL

You raised a point which i am also noticing. These mp3 player manufacturers dont give all the details of what your buying and the information they do give you about the product is very superficial and lacks detail. It annoying having to research what the pros and cons are of these players.
As for batterys they dont seem to have battery's which can be replaced once they are dead, these guys are a total con, just gettinng to greedy, i hate the bad stuff commercialism and big buisiness brings to this world. Looks like you'll have to buy a new mp3 player when the battery runs out.

That after the 300th recharging, there is no guarantee that the battery will still work. Implication: you may have to buy a new battery after that. Note the use of the adverb "approximately" meaning it is within that range (maybe 250th, maybe 315th) that the battery is rechargeable and usable.

The Catholic faith isn't the actually faith. There are a number of religions that trust that they have the actually actual faith; that signifies that in the journey that they are actual Catholic's pass to hell for no longer following the meant actual faith. Wow a good type of human beings replied quickly in this one. Catholics trust that anybody who would not stick with their beliefs is going to hell so it really is basically honest.
