Y'know when a grandfather gets old and for attention refuses to do things for his own good...........why does Britain have to hold onto every pointless part of tradition it has, makes me laugh in a humble kind of way.

The best answer to this question is a quote from one of the gounds keepers of Windsor Castle. The grounds keeper pointed at a British Airways jet flying low over Windsor Castle and said to reporters, "Those tin cans arrive here daily from America to bring thousands here every day to marvel at what we have that they are missing.... history and tradition."

Then you leave and go live in a European country, or anywhere else in the world.

Simple answer - you don't like it - you get out.

You like France and the French so much - go live there.

You like Belguim and Brussels' stupid human rights laws - then go there.

Simple - Leave.

Get's right up my nose how many people come here then critisise the very country that feeds them, and people who were born here who don't know how lucky they are. Some twit serving in a shop complaining and whinning on about our cold weather - then piss off back to where you came from. Whinning, moaning foreigners and achey breakie heart perverted socialists who whinge all the time.

We just dont like being roughshot by the EU and enacting some of its pointless or indeed harmful laws.

However unlike many of the other EU countries when we do need to pass an EU law we do in fact follow unlike, France, Italy, etc. Who just ignore such laws.

Anyway whats wrong with hanging on to tradition?

No, you are fine. Don't get rid of any of your traditions, future generations will marvel at your tenacity and assertiveness to maintain your culture.
