Computer Expertz who are professional..?

Hi i am a total computer freak and i want to do something in computer I am in Xth grade and Well i was thinking about software enginnering how do i go about after my 10th grade do i have to take commerce?or science? after that what do i have to plz help me Ill give 10Pts to the bst answer

Hi,

I think we are a lot alike. I was always the "Computer Expert" in my high school, and wanted to do that professionally. I will share with you advice I have learned over the years from the trenches as a Software Engineer and then careers beyond that.

Just because you are in 10th grade, you are no too young to program now. You can get a student copy of Visual Studio and learn .Net or Eclipse and learn Java. You can also get how to books for free from a local library to help you pick up the syntax of a language.

Once you get comfortable with a language, just look for projects to work on. You can write programs and publish them on sites like http://gotdotnet.com and have people use your programs. If you get more advanced, you could develop software (or shareware) and sell it online. Typically the latter isn't as much fun since there are a lot of boring parts for writing commercial software, but it is VERY impressive to future employers.

As far as what to study, I actually recommend some form of business. It will make you SOOOO much more money than studying computer science. You can minor in computer science, and you have to be proficient but having a diversified education background will radically help you get hired.

1>go 12th secure good scores
2>BE in computers along wit it also do certifications in software
be focused on what software u are going to take upon

before taking up the software just take the market overview as new softwres keep coming up.

for the best its .Net fever now and XML these s/w are more demanding in todays market

another option SAP a big buck as well as we need to pay big buck for training.

Go networing / administration but dont get stuck in desktops
for this if u do commerce graduation and then do all diferent certifications mostly related to administration that will be something very good

your thirst to become a computer wizard is understandable and good also. But first things first , you have decided where you have to go, fine, reach towards it step by step ,first concentrate on your puc, score good marks, clear the entrance exam and then think of BE or BTECH ,this way you will reach your goal and also make your life comfortable and be happy that you reached where you always wanted to go.
