Brazil grows 25% of the world's food. There are a couple of problems they still have. One is their slash and burn techniques is destroying the Amazon rain forest. Brazil's soil is too thin for farming for long in one area and either requires fertilizer (which causes its own problems) the farmers can't afford or moving on. The second thing is their roads are shot and much of the food spoils before it can be loaded onto the ships.
