Mike the Bike Hailwood.

For the range of machines raced, the stronger competition (it was a world championship round once, you know), the grit and determination shown - it has got to be S M B (Mike) Hailwood GM BEM.
Sure, Joey was great but the course had been ironed out, and the opposition was not in the same class.
As for Barry Sheene - much though I liked and admired him, the IoM was NOT his scene - his ego (that rightly pushed him to achieve) would not accept that he would not be competitive for the first two years on the TT course, so he "managed" to fall off on the first lap at the first slow corner, where he could easily get taken back to the nice dry warm pits - I finished 4th in that race, in fog, rain and howling wind, so I do know what I am talking about!

Joey Dunlop 26 TT wins

It has to be Mike Hailwood. Barry Sheene was not prepared to take the huge risks involved in that massive course and Joey Dunlop, although winning an awful lot, did so at much slower speeds and with much weaker competition.

with regard to the 1st answer, i do no longer think of that's a very solid theory to place up information like that onto a internet site which contain this while the information of injuries has no longer even been released to the clicking!! there'll be numerous followers of Nicky reading this and while im specific your source is telling the reality, if those comments became out to be a sprint how do you're saying "exaggerated" then there could have been numerous stress and stress brought about to followers and acquaintances. it fairly is barely my opinion so please dont shoot me down in flames or unharness a torrent of abuse that has a tendency to take place on boards! the main factor is i'm hoping Nicky and Mark at the instant are not as badly injured as is reported and could make an entire restoration.
