why my hermit crab always dosnt seem very active and always come out a quarter of his body out and don move?

first my hermit crab is very active buy from pet store but after some time my hermit crab become not active as usual already i want to know why? besides that my hermit crab aslways come out quarter of his body and don move anymore, after some time there only it move and walking around then still come out quarter of his body out and don move anymore. last time when go near him it will withdraw inside back its shell quickly and its body all withdraw back but now i go near him it will withdraw but only a pair of eye withdraw its leg and claw still hang outside its shell. why my hermit crab always come out quarter of his body and don want to move much are him going to molt or die. please tell me as soon as possible thank you.............

LIke I have been trying to tell you through private messaging, make sure it has humidity of 75%-85 Relative and the temp between 76-82 degrees F at all time, use a solid lid, have at least 4 extra shells in the tank of the right size and type, offer only dechlorinated waters including salt water, fresh foods NOT just commercial food, provide a place for him to climb and hide.
Stop touching and bothering him because through the various messages you have sent me, it sounds like he is going to die if you do not correct the tank temp and humidity and provide extra shells.

first,hermit crabs are most active at night,they like dark moist places(be sure you are spraying his habitat with water once a day) Second,your hermit crab may be getting to big for the shell it is in you may need to buy another for it to "move" into. The more you get your crab out and play with him the friendlier he/she will be,but like I said ,they are nocturnal. Finally,hermit crabs love to be with other crabs,they are very social when together,if you can maybe get another and your crab would then have a friend. If you are not sure whether your crab needs a bigger shell or not ,take it to a vet or pet store, they can tell you approximatly when to get a new shell for it. Hope this helps!!!

The reason why he only comes out a quartar of his body is becaues if you try to pull him out then he will die so please dont try t o do it. Also, You may notice that hey are mainly active at night. How knows if he is going to molt....?? My hermit crab did it but it died... ???

specific, my hermit crabs climbed out of their shells while they died. They hadn't been feeling properly. do no longer understand why they weren't properly: One purely lived each week when I have been given it, even nonetheless it lost that's claw 2 days earlier it climbed out of that's shell to die. One lived over six months, and switched to an enhanced shell at one factor. He became eating properly, gave the impression to be transforming into & became doing positive till sooner or later he lost his claw & stopped eating & died quite a few days later.
