Depends on the Orlando traffic. Anywhere from an hour if you have a lead foot to 4 hours if there a major traffic jam.

Depending on traffic, around 2 hours. We like to fly into Tampa and drive to Orlando because there are usually A LOT less kids going to Tampa!! Makes the plane trip and the airport experience a little calmer. (just takes a few extra hours- but it is more relaxed.)

I took my family to Tampa a few weeks ago:
From Southwest Orlando (Disney area), you're hitting the outskirts of Tampa in about 1 hour, 15 minutes if there's no really heavy traffic.
There's currently about 15 miles of construction just west of Disney, but it doesn't slow things down except during typical rush hour traffic.

Depending on weather, I-4, traffic, exactly where in Tampa/Orlando you are going, etc...
From Universal Studios/Disney area to Busch Gardens area on a sunny day, with little to no complications it is about a hour drive (going with the flow, 10-15 miles over the speed limit).

I-4 is the true highway to hell!! Always construction, always traffic, no matter where you are on the friggin' stretch of road!!
The only part that is nice is through Lakeland cause they have finished the construction and the road is smooth as butter.
On a good day, you can get to Tampa in 2 hours, that is with construction. On a bad day, it can take even longer!! It took me an hour once just to get from Ybor City to the bridge that takes tou over the bay!

From Orlando to Downtown Tampa it's about 2 hours. Tampa traffic is horrible & you will sit there for hours on end going into & out of Tampa.
