Ok, yesterday, i bought one of those yellow mollies which is pregnant and is about to blow. In a separate tank with a filter and heater, I have 13 baby guppies. And in my big community tank i have 1 pregnant guppy and black molly...I love breeding them and seeing the babies grow. I have a 97 liter tank (about 20 gallons) and i am willing to keep some of the guppy, molly, and yellow molly babies. If a lot will survive, what could i do with them cause i can't have like 30 babies! I dont really like giving them to petstores and none of my friends have an aquarium...what should i do with them?...i guess maybe i should put them in a GOOD petstore which actually takes care of their fish? should i? what do you think?

Most large chain pet stores (PetSmart, Petco, etc) will not buy your fish, as it is against their store policy. Your best bet is to see if any of your mom and pop stores in your area will take them off your hands, but for the most part, you'll likely be offered store credit for them rather than cash. They will only take them if the fish appear to be in good health, if they have extra quarantine tanks open, and if your water parameters are within acceptable limits (ammonia and nitrite at 0ppm, nitrate at less than 20ppm, and pH at around 7.0).

If you really want to make money, try posting ads on your local craigslist site(s) or in your local newspaper when they are mature (about six weeks old).

Putting them in a pet store is about the best thing you can do. Ask them if they buy fish first and tell them you are a breeder. I don't know if you have to have a license or if they will just buy them out right like they do in my area. You can also put an ad in the paper and sell them that way for less than what the pet stores sell them for.You can sell them better by charging less. Or take them to the swap meet to sell them. Just keep them in the shade but remember they need air so you would need electric for the pump. Good luck. There aren't many breeders now a days.

Give them to the pet store.

OR

you can do like me and my husband did when we where in the same situtation, get another/bigger tank.

We have two 10 gallon tanks, a one gallon mini tank and a 30 gallon salt water tank. AND 2 cats that are deathly afraid of fish tanks.

well what if you put up signs and say guppies for free or something or you should find out if a breeder wants them.
