Well, the Dream team did not have a nightmare, they just had to play against players from another planet!!!!!

Don't laugh at it. The Greeks have proved that they can make it. They work as a team, they're talented, they believe in themselves... Maybe they're not a Dream Team, but they deserve the gold metal. I'm a Greek and I'm proud of it. I think the better team is the winner. Next time USA should try harder.

i've always been wary of single elimination games since a more superior team can have an off night and lose....given the less accurate shooting percentages of the usa team their loss of only 6 points was an indication of their superior talent...they were outshot 62 to 50 percent and only sank 59% from the free throw line...i really think fiba should change the single elimination format for the semis and finals so fluke winners would be more far-fetched...best of three would make the americans probable winners in their recent losses in the international scene

First of all, we Americans are congratulating Greece on their hard fought victory. It seems the U.S. team was never really in the game.
Secondly, you are an idiot!
And you call yourself a "fellow American"?
You come here not to praise the winning Greek team in the good spirit of sportsmanship and good will, but to rub our noses in the fact that we "lost".
Though "your" team may have won the game, you yourself are the biggest "loser" and our country America is ashamed to call you one of our own.

At least it was a close game and we didn't get our a$$es totally kicked!!! My congrats to Greece!! I don't keep up on this, just American football and College football and sometimes baseball.
