It's my country! I'm so excited!
South Africa is being prepared for 2010. A LOT of hard work is going into building the appropriate capacity in terms of stadiums, transport, parking and all that. I think we have plenty of accomodation so that shouldn't be such a problem. And certainly crime is an issue as we are all aware. I am proud of our police force though and they are certainly working hard to combat crime.
...It's a very small thing but I even saw street lights in the township with 2010 lights (like Christmas lights), the other day. Our country is really excited and proud to host the FIFA World Cup in 2010 :)

The World Cup Rugby was held there and it was fine. I think that people will be surprised at how advanced South Africa is. It is not all mud huts, lions and tigers etc.
They are addressing various issues, transport, roads and yes also the crime. They have accepted the help of Rudolph Guiliani to help reduce the level of crime. He reduced the crime in NY by 60% with his zero tolerance policy.
I think it would be a fantastic oportunity for South Africa and also for the World.

It'll be alright. Good for Africa to have abit of prestige for once, instead of being vilified for having corrupt regimes governing over the starving destitute and being riddled with aids
