your best bet is to go with a wireless Internet. you also may live in a hot spot. using your cell phone will be extremely expensive. your cell phone carrier might also be able to give you a Internet package. my girlfriend just signed up with cell ones plan . for when there on the road.

You don't need GPRS

All you need is a phone, and laptop, with an infra red connection.

Failing that you should be able to get a cable that will connect your phone to the laptop.

Speeds will be painfully slow, so slow that I only connect mine by mobile if it's something that I have to do immediately.

And you can get a net connection without a phone line, try someone like claranet, you can use their free connection from a mobile.

Hi, there is a handphone Nokia N80 that you can consider. Furthermore, if you going to connect internet using GPRS phone. It is better for you to suscribe to the GPRS services with your provider with unlimited access internet connection.

why don't you get a landline installed? that would be way cheaper in long run just have it blocked all the way around and get dsl it's like $60/month I'm sure your cousin wouldn't mind when they knew that while you are surfing they could talk on phone too.

Try PCMCIA card type connectivity. This does away with the pains of cable form your mobile or line of sight using infra red.

check to see if there is a wireless internet provider in your area .. that would be your best cheapest solution .... cell phone??? you must be a millionaire ... they charge by the packet .. a very expensive way to surf ... is CABLE availible if no wireless provider?

barring that ... it would be worth it to you to pay to install your own landline at his place
