Most Bible plans come in 1 year, 2 year, and 3 year formats. However whoever said that you would have to read the Bible 5 hours a day for over a year to get through it is lying. The one year Bible plan takes at the most twenty to twenty-five minutes a day. I know because I subscribe to a podcast of the 1year Bible and the broadcasts range from 19 minutes to 23 minutes each day depending on the Old Testament selection. Even if you read slowly and were in some way impaired...I don't think you could stretch twenty-five minutes into five hours for the same amount of text. But I'll add this. If they are reading a study Bible...especially the MacArthur study Bible...I'd believe it would take at least two hours to get through. On average, I'd say one chapter in that Bible can take you twenty to twenty-five minutes to read.

But you asked about the LEAST amount of time. I know it can be done in fifteen days because I've done it. However, this requires you to read at least three to five hours a day. And this refers to a text-only Bible. And since most people can't devote that much time to it...I'd say 6 months to 1 year.

It depends on how much time you're willing to devote. There are reading plans that will let you finish the whole Bible in a year, and you maybe read for about 20 minutes a day.

Most new Bibles have different reading plans in them....check one out at the bookstore and see which one suits you.

It depends on what version you are reading. If you are reading the really condensed one and only the new testament, you might finish it in a week, if you read for 1 hr everday. Otherwise if it's the biggest, most detailed one, I had heard from someone that if you read it for 5 hrs everday you'll finish it in 1 year and 3 months and 6 days.
