Try pricerunner to do a search for cheap laptops they do price checks for you punch in the spec you want and hit the enter key, also they have a shop feedback system where you can check the sellers credentials out and for some shops they have a discount code that can save you more money,
Buy the best spec you can afford as laptops arent easily upgradeable and are more expensive than desktops to upgrade.

For the cheapest laptops, you got to turn to DELL. If it has the Centrino logo, it means that there is wireless connectivity in the notebook.

Or what you can do is Buy an ordinary laptop with free slots in them and also buy a wireless card. Then you have a laptop with wireless capabilities. All you have to do with a wireless card is slot it into the laptop and away you go. But for intergrated Wireless Laptop may i recomend the IBM Lenovo 3000 for £352.49 inc VAT (http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/114254/rb/21440320647). Or the HP NX6100 for £434.99 inc VAT (http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/113270) I have on of these HP's and works like a dream. Comes with lots of Handy Applications!

There are a number of places where you can find laptops this time of year on sale as the back to school rush is on. However, I do caution you that when you say cheap... be very careful because just as my daddy always told me.... buy cheap son, get cheap!!!
