Hello!! :o) It just doesn't make sense - does it. I mean - who thought up those words!! lol A few weeks ago I was minding my own business on a FREEWAY and ended up having to stop at a tollbooth What was that all about?! Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

for the same reason butterflies aren't called flutter-bys and hamburgers aren't made of ham. Missle-toe is not a food disease, and baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie were not created by Chevrolet. Lastly, why is it called and interstate no matter which way you go? Shouldn't it be an exit-state when leaving, and a highway should be on a hill and in the valley it should be a low-way, right?

probably for the same reason we have HOT water heaters when we dont need to heat HOT water.
