Everything is either solid liquid or gas. Metals Can be either solid, or when melted a liquid. Melting does not always require hot temparatures... water for example we all know melts from a solid to liquid at 0 degress centigrade... Most metals have high melting points, and so are solid at room temparature... lead has a very low melting point and can in fact be simply melted on a kitchen stove.. mercury most notably has such a low melting point that it is in fact a liquid at room temparature... if it were cold enough mercury would of course be a solid just like any other metal.

Um...because at room temperature (i think thats what it's based off) it would be a liquid..so therefor, its considered a liquid.

It is a metal, but a very heavy one. To make it solid very, very low temprature is needed, it'll be just too cold.
