I used to think it was the small Indian coin, that is what most people think. I read a recent article, though, about early electrum coins from asia minor that were so small that they were unknown to us. The only reason we finally spotted them as coins is that they were found with other coins, and someone with very keen eyesight spotted them. They are 1/192 gold coins, weigh about 1 gram or less, and are about 1-2mm, not much bigger than a grain of sand.
